The Tourism Promotion Foundation continues to increase the positioning of the facility as a convention destination, being the first member of the club of specialized companies

The objective of the Menorca Tourism Promotion Foundation to position El Lazareto at the forefront of MICE tourism proposals remains firm. The Foundation has signed an agreement to become the first member of MICE Partners, a select club of companies related to tourism providers that will promote Fam Trips, complimentary trips to get to know the destination, to bring the potential and possibilities of the spectacular installation for interested companies.

Since the presentation of El Lazareto as a MICE destination (English acronym linked to business tourism: meetings, congresses, conventions, incentives, exhibitions or events), the Foundation has carried out a series of actions that have already led to the reservation of the space by from different entities.

It was in one of these actions, attendance at the VII edition of Mallorca loves MICE, a convention specialized in this type of tourism organized by Pidelaluna events, where the island director of Tourism Promotion, Begoña Mercadal, was able to contact directly with MICE Partners and assess the incorporation of El Lazareto into an entity whose objectives are to “promote sustainable development and collaboration in the MICE industry, design enriching, memorable and successful experiences that contribute to the growth of all and create value and exceed expectations through excellence in service and innovation in the design of programs and events.”

The objective of the Menorca Tourism Promotion Foundation is to provide MICE events at El Lazareto with the aim of extending the tourist season, taking advantage of the special conditions of the facility.

In the words of Alessia Comis (Pidelaluna events), co-founder of the MICE Partners Club together with Lorena Vaca of LVG Eventos, “We are happy that the Club’s first Partner is El Lazareto, an exclusive and original event space, which undoubtedly offers the WOW effect so sought after in our sector.

MICE Partners (www.mice-partners.es) was born as a collaborative platform where we are all committed to doing our part so that the events industry is more sustainable, the experiences more memorable, and the destination is strengthened through a positive legacy. Because destination is sold in destination and with events we can change the world,” concludes Comis.

Currently the MICE Partners Club, which was presented on March 15, is formalizing the membership of its first 12 Partners:
